Kidney, cardiovascular and weight trials

For kidney events, begin with FLOW. For cardiovascular events in people with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity without diabetes, turn to SELECT. When I weigh semaglutide’s record, those papers sit beside its weight findings.

For the direct tirzepatide-versus-semaglutide comparisons, SURPASS-2 concerns type 2 diabetes and SURMOUNT-5 concerns obesity without type 2 diabetes. Their endpoints and comparator regimens differ.

Tesamorelin and safety reading

The pivotal HIV trial supplies the original visceral-fat finding. The 52-week programme adds follow-up and discontinuation, and the 2026 meta-analysis pools body-composition findings. The small healthy-men study addresses hormone secretion and short-term glucose measures.

Safety claims need their own sources: the semaglutide review, the tirzepatide pancreatitis and biliary-disease analysis and LiverTox on tesamorelin examine different questions. The complete bibliography follows, including the smaller liver-fat trial and the sports-medicine review.
