About mypeptidesrx

A preference for concrete treatment questions, and an impatience with the idea of one best peptide.

Why the treatment goal comes first

My initial question was straightforward: which of these peptides produces the most weight loss? That question has useful trials behind it. It also leaves out the kidney failure, cardiovascular events and HIV-related fat redistribution studied elsewhere in the same literature. FLOW broke the hold that weight-loss ranking had on my impression of semaglutide.

The “my” in the site’s name points towards that problem. A goal belongs to someone, and the outcomes people care about can differ. The moment I enjoy is when a broad claim becomes a specific question: a drug compared with what, in which condition, measured how? The admiration and the doubt can coexist: I respect the result and question the reputation built around it.

These pages stay with semaglutide, tirzepatide and tesamorelin. The first two have direct comparisons for glucose and weight. The third concerns a different hormone system and a narrower approved use. I like seeing those differences clearly enough that the drugs stop looking like interchangeable entries on a menu.

Rx and this website

mypeptidesrx is the name of this website. Medicine is outside my qualifications. There is no prescribing service, shop, shipping operation or appointment book here. The site offers essays about published studies. It cannot assess a medical history or arrange treatment.

Nothing here is medical advice. A prescription decision needs a licensed clinician’s assessment of the individual. Even a closely matched trial population leaves personal questions unanswered, and this website has no basis for deciding who qualifies for a medicine.

Questions still on my list

A direct comparison of clinical event outcomes would tell me more, alongside weight and glucose. Longer observation also figures in my assessment: whether an early benefit remains useful, how adverse effects accumulate and what happens when treatment ends. A dramatic initial result is a beginning worth examining, rather than the end of the discussion.

The reading list gathers the sources. A specific error or overstated claim can be sent through contact; the exact passage and the relevant paper make a correction possible.
